highlights of the week

Claude’s Artifacts Feature Is Accessible To All Users

If there is one key feature that makes me choose Claude over ChatGPT, it’s the Artifacts. The Artifacts feature has drawn a lot of attention and more than 10 million users since its debut in June. Now, it has been available to all users, including users on the Free plan.

No more back and forth to test all the codes and set-ups. Imagine having a digital canvas where your ideas, powered by AI, can take shape in real time. That's what the Artifacts feature promises. They offer:

  • Universal Access: No more waiting or special permissions. Every user can now explore the potential of Artifacts.
  • Diverse Content Creation: From code snippets to complex documents, Artifacts support a wide range of content types.
  • Real-time Collaboration: Users can work alongside Claude to refine and iterate on ideas instantly.
  • Enhanced Visualization: Complex concepts can now be illustrated through diagrams, charts, and other visual aids.
  • Easy Integration: Artifacts can be easily shared, downloaded, modified, and incorporated into various workflows.

Need some inspiration on what the Artifact can do? A user has created a directory to showcase Artifacts built by the community, open for you to try out and remix: https://artifacts.directory/

You can easily download and publish your artifacts. I believe this update can open a new playground for creativity and productivity. And you, do you have in mind what you want to build with Claude’s Artifacts?

Google’s Customized Gems: The Direct Competitor to Customized GPTs?

Google just launched a new feature called Gems, for which you can create your own personal AI experts on any topic you want. It’s similar to customized GPT, but now it is too soon to say which one performs better.

Some interesting use cases for Gems can be:

  • Personal Career Coach
  • Language Tutor
  • Project Planner
  • Data Analysis
  • Daily Assistant

Gems is now available to Gemini Advanced, Gemini Business, and Gemini Enterprise.
