Democratizing AI: Google AI Studio Launched Prompt Gallery

I believe AI will only be valuable and “for humanity” when everyone has access to and can engage with it comfortably. That’s why the launch of Google AI Studio’s Prompt Gallery really excites me.

Think of the Prompt Gallery as a pre-built tool kit for anyone who wants to explore, experiment, and quickly elevate Gemini’s power to actualize your ideas. It offers:

  • Diverse Prompt Gallery: Offers a rich selection of pre-built prompts for creating research assistants, cooking recipes, treasure hunt game designs, trip recommendations, blog post creators, and more.
  • Custom Prompt Creation: Developers can easily modify and create new prompts to suit specific needs, enhancing the adaptability and relevance of AI solutions.
  • Open Source Access: Google AI Studio is free and easily accessible. You need to create an API key to employ the code locally, but you pay as you use instead of paying upfront.

The potential applications and rooms for creativity are endless, whether it is a cooking ideas generator, math tutor program, or daily planner.

When I try to use Google Colab to test an AI-powered app using the prompt from Google AI Studio, I can feel their effort to make AI development more accessible. Google Colab has Gemini integration that can quickly analyze and point out if there is any problem with your codes and how you should fix them. For a non-coder like me, all the suggestions from Gemini in Google Colab have worked perfectly.

Below is the mini web app I made that, whenever I upload a food photo, will respond with the recipes and all relevant information to make the dish. It employs Google AI’s recipe creator prompt.

More than just a nice add-on to Google AI Studio, this update is “a significant leap in democratizing AI development.” It widens the door to AI for developers, enthusiasts, and curious minds, who are eager to get their hands dirty with creativity.

Have fun exploring and experimenting!
