OpenAI's Project Strawberry to Think Like Us

OpenAI is on the brink of a breakthrough with its latest initiative, code-named Project Strawberry, that can “see and understand the world more like we do.” This new technology is set to revolutionize AI's reasoning capabilities, bringing us closer to achieving human-like intelligence in machines​​​​. Here are what matter to you:

1. Advancing AI Reasoning: Project Strawberry is designed to enhance the reasoning skills of AI models, making them smarter and more intuitive. OpenAI aims for AI to handle complex problem-solving and decision-making tasks. The general belief of the best practice to use AI now is to let it handle repetitive tasks so you can focus on higher-value tasks. With Project Strawberry, although its debut date is still unknown, the high-value tasks might no longer be for you to do alone. 

2. 5-Level Human Intelligence Test: OpenAI has introduced a new 5-level test to evaluate their AI models' proximity to human intelligence​​. The highest level is when AI models can act in the complex functions of the entire organization. Most AI chatbots are now at level 1, with OpenAI claiming that its chatbot is nearing level 2. 
3. Immediate impacts: Enhanced reasoning capabilities mean AI will better manage nuanced conversations and tasks. This leads to improved customer service bots, more intuitive personal assistants, and more innovative tools for managing your workflow. Imagine an AI that not only schedules your meetings but also anticipates conflicts and suggests optimal times based on your work patterns.

We will not be delusional and make you believe everything will turn upside down tomorrow. AGI requires vast resources of money and energy to achieve, and not many people can see it will happen in the near future. 

However, similar to how ChatGPT has stormed and rocked the world in the blink of an eye, it’s better to know where the ambition lies.

YouTube is trying to be more “TikTok”

Yes, you might not care less about TikTok. However, it is indisputable that TikTok has brought attention to the success of the short-video format, which Instagram’s reels, Facebook’s watch, and YouTube’s short have followed. 

YouTube has recently added a new feature to Shorts, where you can use text-to-speech narration without switching to CapCut or TikTok to edit the video. You can also automatically generate captions for your video in one click without meddling between different tools.
