OpenAI warned that ChatGPT Voice Mode can be creepy sometimes.

- Job Board: Future-forward remote roles.
Let’s dive in!
OpenAI Warns of Emotional Hook with Voice Mode
OpenAI has raised concerns that users could become emotionally attached to its new voice mode, potentially leading to over-dependence on AI. The feature, part of ChatGPT, enables real-time voice conversations, offering a more human-like interaction. However, the warning is a reminder of the ethical and psychological implications of integrating AI deeply into our lives.
You will also need to maintain the same mindset when interacting with the new NVIDIA digital human assistant, James, a demo of how customer service will be transformed across industries.
The emotional hook is not the only thing users should be wary about. In their safety check, the OpenAI team noticed that ChatGPT can unintentionally clone the user’s voice in its response.
The important questions to keep in mind are how we can maximize the positive impact of this companionship to enhance our life conditions without turning it into an illusion, and how this human-computer relationship will redefine how we perceive the human-human one.
Small AI Updates That Immediately Supercharge Your Productivity
Let us all admit this: We do not use a third of the new AI applications announced each week. We stick with several core apps, and that’s perfectly fine!
Screw all the AI app hassles to transform your work. Mini updates from core apps, which are usually overlooked, can actually be much more powerful:
- Slack and WhatsApp Voice Message Transcription: Slack has introduced voice message transcription, and WhatsApp is testing a similar feature. This allows you to read messages instead of listening, saving time and making communication more flexible.
- Canva Magic Studio: Canva's new Magic Studio uses AI to streamline creative work. It automates tasks like text-to-image generating and editing content, making design work faster and more accessible to non-designers.
- YouTube AI Summaries: YouTube is experimenting with AI-generated summaries for live chats and videos, which can help users quickly catch up on long content.
- YouTube Gemini Brainstorm: Google's Gemini AI can now brainstorm ideas for YouTube content, offering suggestions based on trending topics and your interests.
- Zapier AI: Briefly describe what you want to do, and it will create a draft automation workflow for you.
These updates may seem small, but they significantly enhance how you manage tasks. You can focus on more strategic and creative endeavors by automating routine work. Whether you're creating content, managing communications, or brainstorming ideas, these tools help you work smarter, not harder.
