highlights of the week

Manus has surpassed OpenAI’s latest model

This is so unexpected. Out of nowhere, Manus, a China’s general AI agent, came out and shook the whole community.

Manus is like a 5-update-later version of ChatGPT, a love child of Claude and Operator. It is the first autonomous AI agent that closes the gap between ideation and execution.

Manus does not only understands your requests and gives you ideas, but autonomously executes them, delivering tangible results even while you rest.

Key Features of Manus:

  • Fully Autonomous Task Execution: Unlike traditional AI assistants that provide suggestions, Manus AI independently plans and completes complex tasks across various domains without requiring continuous human input.
  • Continuous Operation: Manus AI continues to work on assigned tasks even when you’re offline, ensuring progress and productivity around the clock.
  • Multi-Modal Proficiency: Capable of processing and generating zip folders, pdf, text, images, and code.
  • Adaptive Learning and Optimization: Through continuous learning from user interactions, Manus AI builds a memory of its own and optimizes its processes to provide personalized and efficient response.
  • Manus scores higher than OpenAI’s Deep Research on GAIA benchmark (a benchmark for general AI assistants).

Manus can handle resumé screening, in-depth stock analysis, build an interactive course, property searching, deep research, and more. Explore Manus use cases

Now the access to Manus is limited to invitation codes that will be sent based on screening. Manus is currently giving out invitation codes everyday in their Discord channel.

We don’t have enough information to evaluate this Manus now, but at the first glance, it really IS impressive. Would you want to try it when it comes out publicly?
